CORPORATE VIDEO- This is where I got my first start and I continue to love working corporate. I’ve done everything from editing, producing, graphics, etc.

BROADCAST/PSAs- From PSAs, pitch videos, pilots, promo spots, offline storytelling and online conforming, I’ve worked in a number of areas in the broadcast world. Recent series I’ve worked on include Discovery’s After the Gold Rush, DIY’s I Want That!, and Investigation Discovery’s Nightmare Next Door.

GOVERNMENT/MILITARY- I’ve written, post produced and cut training videos, internal communications and promos for the US Marines, the US Army, and the US Postal Services, among others.

CONFERENCE/TRADE SHOW/FILM FESTIVAL- I’ve worked NAB, MacWorld, Photoshop World, the Editor’s Retreat, Inc 50/500, SXSW Interactive Conference, Miami International Film Festival, Taos Shorts Festival, Cinequest Film Festival, 48 Hour Film Project- Washington, DC, Filmapalooza, Voices That Matter: Google Web Toolkit and a few others. I’ve TD live web streams, edited onsite videos for same day projection, podcasts, produced and cut conference promos, run projection, ran around as a still photographer and other duties as infamously assigned.

PROMO- Flashy, quick and gets the point across, I’ve cut promos for corporations, events, products and television shows.

INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS- Training? Messaging? News for employees? I’ve cut a lot of it!

EDUCATION- Worked on a number of dvd training titles for VASST, produced and cut several Creative Cow web series, and worked on several podcasting series on production technologies.

FUNDRAISING- Make ’em laugh, make ’em cry, make ’em open up their checkbooks. Most notable pieces here were for the National Air and Space Museum and Children’s National Medical Center.

PODCASTING- I’ve worked on over 18 podcast series at this point, and was a technical contributor to the book “Producing Video Podcasts” by Rich Harrington and Mark Weiser.

I'm Nicole Haddock, a freelance editor and filmmaker located in Washington, DC. I've lived down here for 8 years, worked full time for 6 and before that, lived and worked in the Boston area. I have undergraduate and graduate degrees in film and video, made a number of shorts, taught a few classes and am generally obsessed with all things post production.
